Household pets like dogs and cats, invasive phenomena like bee stings, dust, and molds, rare foods, such as nuts, strawberries, and shellfish, are often the sources of allergic reactions that start to occur within seconds of exposure to them and can result in anything from gentle to violent reactions like skin rashes, hives, itching, sneezing, or watery eyes. Worse than the foregoing are reactions like breathing seizure, tongue swelling, chest and abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting; even unconsciousness.
